Flea Markets

Brattleboro has a wonderful food scene, but things close early — rarely past 9pm. Always call ahead or check hours online, and book reservations for anywhere special.

Our Favorites

  • Peter Havens Restaurant & Oyster Bar (Brattleboro) — Our top pick. Refined New American in a snug bistro
  • The Gill Tavern (Gill, MA) — New England tavern tradition done beautifully
  • The Restaurant at Burdick's (Walpole, NH) — Classic French bistro, seasonal menus; book ahead. Go next door for the artisanal chocolates
  • The Gleanery (Putney) — Everything artisanally made, farm-to-table philosophy

The People Behind
Cabin to Coast

We've always believed the best vacations leave you feeling both rested and inspired. These two properties are our attempt to create exactly that.

The owners

A Love for Place

We fell in love with Vermont the first time we wandered into Weatherhead Hollow — the way the mountains close in gently around the road, the sound of the brook, the particular quality of light through the trees in October. We knew immediately we wanted to share it.

The Weatherhead Hollow Farmstead has been a labor of love — a historic New England property we've thoughtfully renovated to honor its heritage while making it genuinely comfortable for modern guests.

The Emerald Isle beach house is our coastal counterpart — a place where we first fell asleep to the sound of the Atlantic and never quite wanted to stop. The Crystal Coast of North Carolina is one of the most beautiful and underappreciated stretches of beach on the East Coast, and we wanted others to discover it.

When you stay with us, you're not booking a managed property — you're staying in homes we know intimately and care about deeply. We're always just a call away, and nothing makes us happier than a guest who discovers a new favorite spot from our local guide.

Genuine Hospitality

We respond promptly, share our favorite local secrets, and genuinely want your stay to exceed every expectation. This is personal for us.

Thoughtful Spaces

Every detail — from the quality of the linens to the gear in the shed — has been personally selected. We stay at these properties ourselves, so we know exactly what matters.

Local Community

We're invested in the communities around our properties. We actively support local businesses and want every guest to explore and love these places as much as we do.

Find Your Escape

Whether the mountains or the coast are calling you, we'd love to have you. Reach out anytime — we're happy to help you find the perfect dates.

Questions about the properties, availability, pricing, or anything else — we're real people who love talking about our homes. Reach out any time.

Two Properties,
One Conversation

We manage both properties personally, so whether you're inquiring about Vermont or the beach, you'll always be talking to an owner.

Response Time
We typically respond within 24 hours, often much faster.
